What is the system's actual FF recoil?
Two systems, and they work separately.
The first is his name camera up. Each bullet pushes your perspective upwards. This is clearly visible, because the crosshair moves on its own on the screen. You fix this by pulling your thumb down slowly.
The second is his name bullets spread. After about the 7th bullet in a row, the shot cone widens. Your crosshair can still fit perfectly on your head, but the bullet will no longer travel straight through the center of the crosshair. This is what is invisible, and this is what makes people confused.
| Characteristics | The camera goes up | Bullets scatter |
|---|---|---|
| It's visible on the screen | Yes, the crosshair is up | No, the crosshair is silent |
| Starting to feel it | First bullet | Around the 7th bullet |
| Fixed with | Pull your thumb down | Stop shooting |
| Affected by sensitivity | Yes | Not at all |
| Affected foregrip | Yes | A little |
| Affected squatting | Yes | Yes |
Why does high sensitivity make recoil difficult?
Because pulling back is a precise movement, not a fast movement.
Sensitivity determines how many degrees the camera rotates for every centimeter your thumb moves. If you raise it, it rotates one centimeter further. Correct correction thus requires a shorter thumb distance.
The problem is that human thumbs have a natural vibration. The vibrations don't decrease when you increase the sensitivity. So the same vibration now turns into a bigger aiming error on the screen.
This is also the reason why players who are good at spraying usually have lower numbers than players who are good at turning their bodies. Two different jobs demand different ratios.
If you want to arrange the numbers in a structured manner, the calibration order is in sensitivity guide. This page only discusses recoil.
What really reduces recoil?
Four things, and three of them are not in the settings menu.
- Burst 3 to 5 bullets. Release the button, wait half a second, fire again. The cone re-narrows every time you stop. This is the only antidote to bullet spread.
- Attach the foregrip. This attachment reduces camera drag. The effect is most pronounced in fast-rising weapons such as the AK47 and Groza.
- Squat when shooting far. The squat position stabilizes two systems at once. Standing still is better than running, squatting is better than standing.
- Pull back in the direction of the pattern. Each weapon has a fixed upward direction. Memorize that direction, then counter it with the opposite movement of the same length.
| Distance | Burst length | Pause between bursts | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 10 meters | Full hold | No need | The spread has not yet widened |
| 10–25 meter | 5 peluru | About 0.4 seconds | Most frequently used zone |
| 25–50 meter | 3 peluru | About 0.6 seconds | Pullbacks are starting to be mandatory |
| Above 50 meters | 1–2 peluru | Reshoot each time | Better to use a scope |
Note that none of the four are slider numbers. That's not a coincidence. Recoil is controlled by the way you press the buttons, not by the contents of the menu.
Does each weapon need different treatment?
Yes, and the difference lies in the direction and speed of the rise.
| Class | Upward direction | Speed up | Treatment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short range SMG | Almost straight up | Hurry | Full hold, short distance only |
| Assault rifle | Go up and then tilt | Medium | Burst 3–5, tilt reverse pull |
| Shotguns | Single beat | Very big | Re-aim each shot |
| Snipers | Single beat | Very big | Irrelevant, one bullet |
| LMG | Long ride | Slow but far | Shoot while squatting |
Assault rifle is the only class that actually demands recoil training. The SMG finished before the camera could get very far. Snipers and shotguns have no continuous recoil at all.
What misconceptions most often lead to failure?
Turned all the sliders to maximum because it was thought that the higher the more stable it was.
| Claim | Reality |
|---|---|
| Sensi 100 all = no recoil | The camera is nimble, but corrections are much more difficult |
| Recoil can be removed from the settings | Neither slider touches the bullet spread |
| Sensi pro code is suitable for all | This number is tied to the manufacturer's screen size |
| Foregrip eliminates recoil | The foregrip trims, not deletes |
| Long spray is more profitable | After the 7th bullet you throw the bullet and open a position |
There is one additional pitfall that is often missed. When you use someone else's sensitivity code, the game sometimes offers to copy all their settings. Reject the offer if you have calibrated yourself.
If you also want to improve your button layout, this is a different matter and will be discussed in HUD layout guide.
How to test whether your changes work?
Use the same test before and after, don't test in a regular match.
- Enter the Training Ground, take one assault rifle and one foregrip.
- Standing at a fixed distance from the wall, mark the position of your feet.
- Shoot 30 bullets with a burst of 5, count how many enter the small circle.
- Change just one setting, then repeat the exact same test.
- Compare the numbers. If it doesn't rise in three tries, return the setting.
A more complete workout routine, including moving targets, is at Training Ground practice guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there sensitivity without recoil in FF?
There isn't any. The sensitivity slider only affects how far the camera rotates per thumb movement. The spread of bullets after consecutive shots is not affected by any slider.
Why did my long shot miss even though the crosshair was right on my head?
Because the bullet cone has widened. After about the 7th bullet in a row, the bullet no longer goes straight to the center of the crosshair. Pause to narrow it down again.
How many bullets are ideal per burst?
Three to five bullets for medium range, with a delay of about half a second. At close range you can hold it completely because the cone hasn't had time to expand.
High or low sensitivity for recoil control?
Tends to be lower. Pullback is a precise movement, and high sensitivity magnifies the effect of thumb vibration into aiming error.
Are foregrips really useful?
Useful, but limited. The foregrip cuts some of the cam drag and is most noticeable on fast-rising guns. Bullet spread remains untouched.
Why does squatting help?
Squatting stabilizes the camera pull and slightly squeezes the bullet cone. The order is from worst to best: running, standing still, then squatting.
What weapons need the most drawback practice?
Assault rifle. The SMG finishes before the camera goes up far, while the sniper and shotgun have no continuous recoil at all.
Can the sensitivity code for pro players be used directly?
Not recommended. That number is tied to the screen size and the maker's thumb style. Use it as a starting point, then recalibrate yourself.
How do I know if my setting changes were successful?
Use the same test before and after at the Training Ground, changing only one setting per try, then count the incoming bullets from 30 shots.
Is there an application that can eliminate recoil?
Nothing is safe. Such applications change game behavior and fall into the category of violations that can result in account blocking.
Why does the recoil feel different after changing cellphones?
Because the sensitivity ratio is tied to the screen size. The same percentage results in different rotations per centimeter of thumb movement on the larger screen.
Is the recoil in training mode the same as in match?
The system is the same, but Training Ground gives unlimited bullets and stationary targets. This makes the long spray habit feel safe even though it is detrimental in matches.
